Happiness Tips: If there's music you love go ahead and listen to it.  Science suggests music has direct practical applications to physical and mental health.  

Etiquette:  If the people around you aren't into your music try a set of headphones or earbuds to keep the peace. If you're not into their music try not to hear it or put your headphones on. Remember while said music may not be therapeutic to you it may very well have therapeutic practical applications to the targeted listener. In other words be considerate. I personally employ earplugs, Nirvana, Rihanna, Mozart, deep breathing techniques, walks, meditation, mindfulness, yoga, water breaks Etc. Where does science come into play in this otherwise vague mix? Long story short science generates countless dollars financing research projects using various advanced and sometimes typical or traditional imaging, statistics, psychology and other general physical, mental and sociological health testing methods, observation, measurements and dictation to prove what we just summarized in a few sentences.
